Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains what information LandSpace collects and how it is used.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, and phone number. Landlords who submit identity verification also provide a National Identification Number (NIN) and a photo of a government-issued ID.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To display listings and landlord profiles to students
- To manually verify landlord identity before granting a "Verified" badge
- To process payments for the contact-unlock feature via Paystack
- To send password reset emails and account-related communication
3. What We Don't Do
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Landlord phone numbers and property addresses are only revealed to students after they complete payment to unlock that specific listing.
4. Third-Party Services
LandSpace uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Firebase (Google) — account authentication and database storage
- Cloudinary — photo and video hosting
- Paystack — payment processing
Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing how they handle data passed to them.
5. NIN and Identity Documents
NIN numbers and identification documents submitted for verification are used solely to confirm landlord identity and are reviewed manually. They are not displayed publicly on the platform.
6. Data Retention
Your information is retained as long as your account remains active. You may request account deletion by contacting the LandSpace team.
7. Your Rights
You may request to view, correct, or delete the personal information associated with your account at any time.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of LandSpace after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
